‘Maulvi Nazir won’t resist operation’

PESHAWAR: Taliban leader Maulvi Nazir on Thursday distanced his group from Baitullah Mehsud’s TTP, and told Ahmedzai Wazir tribes that he would not attack the army, said tribal elders. “Maulvi Nazir has assured the Ahmedzai Wazir tribes that he would not attack security forces in case a military operation against Baitullah begins,” one of three tribal elders who met the Taliban leader told Daily Times. staff report
